This April I plan on running 250 miles for clean water wells in 3rd world countries. All proceeds will go to Lifewater International.
Lifewater goes to these areas and digs wells for people that daily walk miles for water that is usually not even close to potable. It is usually the women and children who are the ones carrying 40lbs containers back to their villages. Please go to Lifewater International to learn more about this challenge and how L.I. attacks it.
During my solo run, which will start from Santa Rosa Park in San Louis Obispo, California and finish at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, I plan on being joined by runner friends and cyclists. I will be pushing a specially made racing stroller that will carry a large bottle of dirty water. This will symbolize what many people consider a normal water supply.
Please check out my Facebook page ROY'S RUN for lots more details and consider supporting me in my quest of raising $10000 towards this worthwhile goal.
Thank You,
Roy
Non stop 110 miles in 24 hours run - along the San Gabriel River bike path.
On May 17-18, I ran the same route we biked last year! The course distance is 100 miles, with 12,000 feet of elevation gain.
My kids and I rode all or part of an uphill 100 mile course that starts at the Mission in Ventura and ends at the summit of Mt. Pinos, in the Grapevine area.
